About Somali Just Aid

Across Somalia, We Are United in Our Dedication to empowering the marginalized

Who We Are

Partnering to build a world where all children, women, and girls are empowered.

Somali Just Aid, established on June 16, 2018 in Baidoa, Somalia, is a dynamic nongovernmental organization dedicated to empowering the youth, girl-child, and women across
Somalia, with a particular focus on the Somali Southwest, and Jubaland.

We are committed to addressing critical issues such as illiteracy, hunger, poverty, famine, and gender-based violence, including female genital mutilation (FGM) and domestic violence.

Through our comprehensive programs, Somali Just Aid plays a pivotal role in fostering good governance, promoting justice, and building lasting peace in communities.

Our Approach

Our Core Values

1. Humanity: We are committed to alleviating suffering and improving the lives of those in need, regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation.

2. Integrity: We operate with transparency, accountability, and the highest ethical standards in all our activities.

3. Empowerment: We believe in the power of local communities to drive positive change and are dedicated to supporting their efforts.

4. Collaboration: We work in partnership with local communities, international organizations, and governments to maximize our impact.

5. Respect: We uphold the dignity and rights of all individuals, ensuring that our interventions are inclusive and culturally sensitive.

Geographic Focus: While we operate across all regions of Somalia, Somali Just Aid’s primary focus is on the Somali Southwest and Jubaland, which we believe are particularly vulnerable to poverty, conflict, and food insecurity.
